TEMPLE Course | Hello + Welcome!

I am so happy that you are here!

Learning about my nervous system and how to work with it has been the most profound piece in my healing journey.

The next 4 weeks will be an unpacking of the instinctual wisdom which resides in us all. It is not as hidden as we may think and I have been witness to so many who have come to rediscover their own power, playfulness, and authenticity.

This is a journey back home, to the vibrant self that we always have been.

WEEK 1 | HOME BASE

To begin, we will set a strong container for the course by establishing a home base in our body that allows us to find our authentic center, notice when we’re off kilter, and develop confidence in knowing how to return. This foundational knowledge will be the bedrock of our embodiment that we will continue to unpack + implement in ever deepening layers through the coming weeks.

WEEK 2 | DIALING IN

The body communicates creatively through sensation, imagery, movement, and emotion. In the 2nd week we will orient ourselves to the language of the body and the different channels that information comes through. When we want to move forward but feel stuck, learning how to “change the channel” can be the most effective way to bring about a shift.

WEEK 3 | BECOMING THE ALCHEMIST

In order to heal from dysregulated nervous system states, we have to first know that we are in them. In the 3rd week we explore and locate ourselves within the 4 main responses of our system: fight, flight, freeze/collapse, fawn. We don’t always need to calm down to be regulated, sometimes we actually need come back to life. These tools are essential for discerning what medecine our system needs and when.

WEEK 4 | REWRITING THE SCRIPT

In the final week we will dive into the relationship between trauma + karma. This is by far one of my all time favorite topics. Karma is the understanding of how we make and, therefore, break habits. Trauma conditions the nervous system to develop protective patterns that are imperative initially and over time live out their usefulness. Becoming conscious of these patterns gives us agency + opportunity to change them; inviting in new, more generative ways of relating to ourselves, others, and the world around us.

The Workbook

Your Map + Guide

As you traverse the terrain of your body and nervous system, this workbook is your anchor. During the course, I recommend limiting the amount of information you are bringing in. It’s so normal when on a healing path or new discovery to want to take in as much as possible, but when it comes to the nervous system, more is not better. Less firehosing the system with tons of input and more simple, directed awareness is what will allow the medicine of this work to truly absorb.

Take your time. Let the material work through you in its’ own way. There’s no right or wrong way to do this stuff, it’s experiential and experimental. It’s more about noticing than knowing, more about curiosity than control. Try not to grab at it with your brain and put it in familiar dimensions, but rather let yourself become available to the breadth of your body’s message. It honestly might just surprise you!

And lastly, please honor myself, the container of this course, and the privacy of those sharing this space and do not distribute the contents of this page to those outside the container.
